"We hired CCG because it was obvious that they understood our business and our industry and were the kind of guys we could work with - honest and aggressive."

I truly believe that our deal would not have closed without the efforts and expertise of the CCG team. I am quite certain that we received the very best deal the market could offer for our landscape maintenance company as a result of their expertise and relationships in our industry. I can tell you having lived it that there is a lot more to this process than you might think and that you cannot get your advisors in there too early. The amount of time it takes to gather the data needed and to generate items that you've never had to even think about can be overwhelming. I cannot imagine having to navigate the sale process without CCG on our team. When it comes to having the right guys in your corner, there is no one that I'd want in mine than Brian Corbett and Jonathan Thomson. These guys were truly our partners in the deal process and I cannot thank them enough for all they did for me, our family and our company. If you are considering hiring anyone else or have any question about what these guys can do for you please call me."

Lewis and Sally founded the company with strong values and a dedication to provide the best service in the industry. Over a number of years the Metheny's sons, Lewis Jr., Chris and Andrew all entered the business and under the second generation's leadership, Metheny grew to be the largest family-owned landscape maintenance provider in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. By the time the company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011 they employed a staff of over 300 employees.

As with many family businesses, it became apparent that the company would not transition to a third generation of Metheny owner/operators and so the brothers began to investigate their strategic alternatives. CCG Advisors, the green industry's most trusted merger and acquisition expert, was called on to advise the family on their options for creating shareholder liquidity and a seamless transition of ownership. Beginning several years prior to the sale of the company, CCG worked together with Andy and Lewis, Jr. to position the company to achieve maximum value and marketability.

Having met with all the strategic and private equity groups in the industry, the Metheny family chose The Brickman Group as the best fit for them, their employees and their clients. Right up to the very end, CCG Advisors was instrumental in negotiating the best deal possible for the family and the company. Brickman felt that the company's leadership, reputation for providing first class service and their top flight client base made them the perfect candidate to help them grow their business in North Texas. With the transaction now behind them, Andy and Lewis Jr. are excited to stay on and run the combined Metheny/Brickman operations in Dallas-Fort Worth.
