Having worked in his family's landscape installation firm in his youth, it was an industry he knew well. While the new firm grew largely through the installation work as the Florida market expanded, Eddie had an appreciation for the positive impact recurring revenues from maintenance work would have on the long-term viability and value of the enterprise and focused operations accordingly. Eddie nurtured the company into an award winning, full-service landscape firm serving commercial customers in Florida and the Bahamas. Under Eddie’s leadership, the company rose to prominence by building a reputation based on quality, innovative design, reliability, value-added solutions and the ability to handle large and complex projects. Numerous Austin Outdoor projects received the highest national and regional awards from industry associations including ALCA, PLANET and FNGLA. Eddie and his team created one of the most technologically sophisticated and advanced companies in the industry with business intelligence systems including best in class CRM and ERP systems. Austin Outdoor’s considerable success attracted Gridiron Equity to acquire the company as part of their portfolio company, Yellowstone Landscape Group, leveraging Austin Outdoor’s systems and expertise for the growing company. Eddie was able to continue working in the industry he grew up in, taking on a regional position with Yellowstone Landscape Group.
